D.C. Dador (she/her) is a science fiction & fantasy author whose stories are about finding love in dark places. D.C. loves meshing genres. Give her vampires, dystopia or space and she’ll make it into a rom com!
D.C. was a finalist on the reality TV show “America’s Next Great Author” produced by Kwame Alexander and the Book Doctors. She’s also an alumni of multiple competitive writing mentorship programs including Author Mentor Match, Avengers of Colour, and WriteMentor.
As a first-generation Filipino-American, she enjoys weaving her heritage into her tales.

D.C. Dador (she/her) is a science fiction & fantasy author whose stories are about finding love in dark places. D.C. loves meshing genres. Give her vampires, dystopia or space and she’ll make it into a rom com!
D.C. was a finalist on the reality TV show “America’s Next Great Author” produced by Kwame Alexander and the Book Doctors. She’s also an alumni of multiple competitive mentorship programs including Author Mentor Match, Avengers of Colour, and WriteMentor. You can also find her being an active member of the writing community as a conference co-chair for SCBWI’s Mid-Atlantic Region.
As a first-generation Filipino-American, she enjoys weaving her heritage into her tales. Growing up, she accidentally disturbed a dwende’s ant hill home and suffered the consequences when the spiteful spirit cursed her with hair loss. Fortunately, one of her Filipino aunties was able to find a cure!
D.C. resides in Virginia where she enjoys exploring historic (sometimes haunted) sites with her family.
Her novel length stories are written under the pen name Celeste Dador.
